1. Koutoubia Mosque, one of the secrets to see in Marrakech
Koutoubia means “Mosque of the Booksellers” and is one of the most impressive and emblematic buildings in the city. Its history dates back to 1141, when its construction began by order of the Almohad caliph Abd al Mu-min. The construction was completed in 1158 and since then it has become one of the most important monuments in Morocco.
2. Saadi Tombs
The Saadian Tombs are located in an enclosed garden. There you can see more than one hundred tombs decorated with mosaics and dating from the late sixteenth century. In these tombs are buried mainly warriors and servants of the Saadid dynasty.
