Stop At An Argan Co operative

As you’re picked up by your driver and guide, get ready to go on a short journey out of Marrakech to visit a fascinating argan co operative. This part of Morocco is the only place in the world where the argan tree grows, and at the co operative, local women work together to process the argan nuts by hand, creating a variety of products.

The experience is incredibly insightful take the chance to grind the nuts using traditional methods and learn about the many benefits of argan products. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase some of the goods to take home as unique souvenirs. After the tour, head out to a shady spot in the garden where a long table is laid out with freshly baked bread, argan butter, honey, and oil, all paired with endless cups of mint tea. 

For an added twist, try the optional eucalyptus crystals it’s a refreshing experience! This part of the tour is a perfect opportunity to relax, sample local treats, and connect with your fellow travelers in the tranquility of nature. It’s one of the highlights of the day, and we absolutely loved it!

Visit The Agafay Desert

Your adventure continues with a visit to the Agafay Desert, just an hour south of Marrakech. Unlike the golden sands you might imagine, the Agafay Desert is a striking rocky landscape that feels like another world. Here, you’ll have the chance to enjoy the experience by donning traditional clothing, including a headscarf, and hopping on a camel for a 15 minute ride through the desert. It’s an unforgettable experience, so be sure to ask your guide plenty of questions they have some fascinating answers, like how much camels are actually worth! 

For us, it was our very first camel ride, and while it was a lot of fun, there were moments of discomfort, especially under the intense sun. So, be sure to stay hydrated and slather on plenty of sunscreen before you go on this incredible desert adventure.

Hike In The High Atlas Mountains

After leaving the Agafay Desert, your journey takes you on a scenic drive towards the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you’ll make a quick stop at the Kik Plateau, where the views will simply blow you away. The drive itself is a visual feast, with the landscape shifting from dry desert to lush greenery as you wind up the mountains. 

Our group was buzzing with excitement music blasting, everyone singing, chatting, and dancing thanks to our guide who helped keep the energy high and fun. By the time you reach Imlil, a charming mountain village at the foot of Mount Toubkal (the tallest peak in North Africa), you’ll be ready for a gentle, hour long hike through shaded forests, alongside a river, and up to a stunning viewpoint of Toubkal. This easy hike offers the perfect opportunity to take in the beauty of Moroccan mountain life watching local children play in the stream and seeing men guide their donkeys down dirt paths. It’s a peaceful escape that offers a true glimpse of rural Morocco and a perfect way to enjoy nature.

What to Eat in Marrakech

Let’s be honest no 3 Days in Marrakech Itinerary would be complete without indulging in the city’s   food scene. From sunrise to sunset, Marrakech tempts your taste buds at every turn. Start your mornings right with breakfast at your riad trust us, Moroccan breakfasts are a beautiful carb filled celebration of breads, eggs, fruits, and dips like honey, jam, and the magical “almou” that turns any bite into pure bliss. Plus, it’s the most convenient option since most restaurants don’t open before 11 a.m. anyway. When it comes to lunch and dinner, Marrakech delivers big flavor in beautiful settings. 

Head to Le Jardin for  tagines and refreshing mocktails in a lush, green oasis. Don’t miss Souk Café their set menu offers a generous sample of Moroccan favorites, and their couscous? Easily some of the best in the country. L’Mida is another gem with a trendy rooftop perfect for golden hour views, while Nomad though we didn’t eat there is constantly recommended by locals and travelers alike. Craving something light? Stop by Boheme, a hidden café near Jardin Majorelle, perfect for smoothies and snacks. And coffee lovers, rejoice: Bacha Coffee House, tucked inside Dar El Bacha, isn’t just one of the most beautiful cafés in the world it’s a century old institution serving legendary brews with decadent desserts. How To Haggle In Marrakech?
