Itinerary:
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen
Your 7 Days Tour from Casablanca begins in Casablanca with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, dramatically set above the Atlantic Ocean. After taking in its architecture and seaside location, you’ll travel north to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Here, you’ll explore key landmarks such as the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower, and the peaceful Kasbah of the Oudayas overlooking the river.
After lunch at a local restaurant, the journey continues through rolling hills toward the Rif Mountains. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Chefchaouen, where blue-washed streets and mountain air create a calm, photogenic atmosphere. Enjoy a relaxed evening walk before settling in for the night.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Fes
The morning is yours to enjoy Chefchaouen at an easy pace. Wander through the medina’s narrow blue alleys, visit the historic kasbah, or simply relax in one of the main squares. Leaving the Rif region behind, you’ll head south toward the ancient Roman city of Volubilis.
With a local guide, explore the remarkably preserved mosaics, arches, and remains that reveal Morocco’s Roman past. After the visit, continue to Fes, one of the country’s most historic cities. Upon arrival, you’ll check into a traditional riad and enjoy a peaceful evening inside the old city.
Day 3: Full Day Exploring Fes
Today is dedicated entirely to discovering Fes with an experienced local guide as part of your 7 Days Tour from Casablanca. You’ll start with panoramic views of the city and a stop at the Royal Palace gates before entering the medina through Bab Boujloud, the famous Blue Gate.
Inside the medieval medina, you’ll visit historic madrasas, traditional fountains, bustling souks, and artisan workshops. Highlights include the Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Square, the tanneries, and Al Quaraouiyine University, considered the oldest university in the world. The tour also includes the Mellah (Jewish Quarter) and ends with scenic viewpoints overlooking the city’s rooftops.
Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
After breakfast, the route heads south through the Middle Atlas Mountains as part of your Morocco 7 day tour, offering a scenic transition from green highlands to desert landscapes. Your first stop is Ifrane, known for its clean streets and alpine-style architecture, followed by a visit to the cedar forests near Azrou, where Barbary macaques roam freely among the trees.
Continuing through Midelt, the journey follows mountain passes and the lush Ziz Valley, lined with thousands of palm trees. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Merzouga, where camels await to carry you across the golden dunes. End the day with a peaceful desert sunset before reaching your camp for dinner, traditional music, and a magical night under the stars.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Wake early to witness sunrise over the Sahara dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. As part of your 7 days tour from Casablanca, leave the desert behind and travel to Rissani, an important former capital and trading center, where you can experience the lively traditional souk.
Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and marble products, before heading toward the dramatic Todra Gorges. Here, towering red cliffs and a clear river form one of Morocco’s most impressive natural landscapes. After lunch, follow scenic roads toward the Dades Valley, stopping at panoramic viewpoints and unusual rock formations before arriving at your hotel for the evening.
Day 6: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
The day begins with a scenic drive through the Valley of Roses near Kalaa Magouna, an area especially known for its fragrant rose fields and local products. The journey continues through Skoura’s lush palm groves toward Ouarzazate, often referred to as the gateway to the desert and a renowned filming location.
A key highlight of this one week Morocco trip is a visit to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar celebrated for its striking earthen architecture and rich cinematic history. After lunch, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, taking in sweeping panoramic views before arriving in Marrakech by evening.
Day 7: Marrakech – Casablanca
After breakfast, enjoy free time in Marrakech to explore its most famous attractions. Depending on your interests, you may visit the Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, or admire the Koutoubia Minaret.
